Supersonic Life - DVD / Film Piracy

For some time now we have been exploring commercially viable ways to release the documentary Supersonic Life, in order to recover associated production, post production, mastering and replication / pressing costs. Unfortunately posts on a forum site specifically mentioning our production intially confirmed that piracy of this special interest title was going to be of major financial concern, and could significantly impair our likely return on investment.

After detecting numerous instances of our copyright being breached by a member of that forum, who had without permission incorporated pre-release Supersonic Life content into his own offerings, which he then distributed on various websites linked to his posts on that forum, we immediately re-evaluated our plans for a public release of this title.

We then had our attention drawn to further alarming posts. This recent post from a senior member of that same internationally accessed forum, added further weight to our concerns, when he quipped amongst other things... "And all the rubbish about being concerned about people pirating the dvd - why release anything into the public domain at all if that's your biggest worry in life? ::)".

Why should we spend additional money, and why should we release this film into the market, if individuals within this demographic so easily dismiss illegal piracy, and our right as the content producers to recover costs?

We are a production company, and our revenue comes from what we produce. So yes, losing money and not recovering our costs, due to illegal piracy.... is the major concern of most content producers.

We release a significant amount of TV, DVD, and revenue producing online content into the market each and every year, and piracy is to some degree an issue in each instance. Some projects however are deemed to be of increased risk of piracy than others, and Supersonic Life is one such title.

It has been decided therefore that the Supersonic Life DVD will not be released to the public until effective anti-piracy measures are available to us. We are constantly evaluating new anti-replication technology, but cannot provide any indication as to when an effective solution will be found.

Because of this situation, all Supersonic Life pre-launch video content has been deleted from all known sources, and squadron only dvd preludes will no longer be available.

Please Note: To those who keep emailing us, asking how you can obtain a copy... Given that we have explained the above situation time and time again, staff can can no longer respond to such emails individually. Should updates become available, they will be posted on Supersonic Life related pages, or in our news section.

The exception to this rule is as follows: Should you detect an instance of piracy from the initial restricted release of this product, please provide us with supporting evidence including the details of the individual(s) responsible, and we will provide you with a burnt (non-pressed, and without packaging) copy of the title for your trust and trouble.
